Q. How much is a tune up? My car is running awful!
A. A tune-up is what ever it takes to make your car run well. A $49.95 tune-up special may not solve your problem. If you have a late model vehicle, it could be something with your computerized engine controls, fuel system, ignition systems or even an internal engine problem. We need to perform a diagnosis to determine the problem, then provide an estimate for only the work you need, on the vehicle.
Q. When I am driving down the road I hear a squealing noise. When I depress the brake pedal, the noise stops. What could the problem be?
A. It sounds like the brake pads are worn down to the wear sensors. Some manufacturers have wear sensors to let you know the brakes are getting low. Not all manufacturers do this. The best thing is to have the brakes inspected every 10K-15K miles.
Q. What is a "Napa Auto Care" center?
A. A Napa Auto Care center is an automotive repair shop that employs trained technicians, follows a strict code of ethics, offers quality parts and provides a "Nationwide Warranty" on covered parts and repairs. We are also authorized to provide dealer approved warranty work on all cars. Your new vehicle warranty STAYS IN EFFECT when work is performed in our shop.
Q. What is the difference between having my oil changes at Kevork's Auto Care compared to the "other lube" places?
A. Our technicians do more than change the oil and filter, and top off fluids. We look for potential disasters, like cracked belt, swollen hoses, dangerous fluid leaks and other obvious problems that may affect reliability, safely or life expectancy of your vehicle. At Kevork's Auto Care, we "Care" about your car and you.
Q. Can you do the 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 mile Factory Recommended services on my vehicle or do I have to take it to the "Dealer"?
A. Yes, we perform those maintenance services. We do what the manufacturer recommends at the mileage intervals. If the car is still under Warranty, we can do these services without "VOIDING" the manufacturer's warranty.
Q. I am looking to buy a used vehicle. It seems to run and drive OK. Do I need to have it checked out?
A. Yes. There could be some issues with the car that only a thorough inspection can find.
Q. Does my car have a timing belt?
A. Possibly. It depends on the make and model of your car. Just call and ask us. We will let you know if your car has a timing belt and at what mileage the manufacturer recommends it to be changed. It is very important that it is replaced at the recommended mileage and time intervals. On some vehicles if the timing belt breaks it can "SEVERELY" damage the engine.
